F. Peacock - Home Or Something Like It [CTR009]

At times, the voice of F. Peacock’s sole member Kayla W. is reminiscent of voices we’ve heard before:
like Jana Hunter, insistent and unfettered by flowery arrangements;
like Megan Remy (U.S. Girls), driven by an internal rhythm;
occasionally like Liz Harris (Grouper), swallowed in the depth of her musings;
often like Jesy Fortino (Tiny Vipers), brutal and heartbreaking in her cause.

Home Or Something Like It is about homes, yes—
but also roads, bedrooms, dreams, families.
A microscope taken to the tiny fractures,
so that the blemishes revealed enhance the beauty of the whole.
